Hello! I
hope everyone's holidays were great and that you are off and running in the New
Year! I'm
behind with the January calendar because of the holidays and inventory. We
organized all of the stamps and embellishments in the classroom and completed
the inventory including the paperwork. I actually feel like we
accomplished something! With
all of that behind us, we are scheduling some new classes and getting in new
products. Last week we received 4 shipments of stamps and dies. More
new products will be coming soon. We will be demonstrating them at our
first Open House of the year (Feb.4 from 10-4). We look forward to seeing
you there. Don't forget you will need to bring your basic kit since we
don't furnish adhesives. There will be a minimal cover charge for the demo
stations. I will send out more details as we get closer to the date. I
have started planning for our classes. Hopefully, you will be
able to join us for some of these. If you have any suggestions for classes
or products, please e-mail me. Alison
will be doing a class for a versatile gift box. This is great for little
personal gifts and it can be made in a variety of ways. Stop by to see her
samples. I can order these stamps if there is enough interest. We
have a new pergamano project with Lenora. If you haven't tried this craft
yet, we teach a beginner's class. These are usually scheduled for every
second Saturday of the month. Lenora is busily designing some new cards
for classes with the new Heartfelt Creations stamps we received. We will
schedule these classes for February. I
will be doing two valentine card classes: humorous and elegant. Since we
all need to write thank you notes for those wonderful gifts we received, we have
scheduled a Thank You card class. Shanon
will be making Humorous Teen Valentines. Check
the schedule (calendar at the end of the newsletter) and be sure to sign up
for the classes at least 2 days prior to the class so we can prepare the
materials we need. I
want to let you know what companies I am planning to order from this month so
you can order anything you might want. This Thursday I will order from
Product Performers. You can go online to see what products they offer.
I'm not sure it shows prices, but just let me know. These come in two or
three days. On
Monday, I will be ordering more dies from Memory Box and Poppy Stamps for the
open house. I will also place an order to Northwoods for the Floral/Bird
board. If there are any individual stamps you want, let me know asap.
Finally,
Great Impressions has a special promo this month for retailers. I have no
minimums this month only. You can order any stamps for any amount. I
have a new catalog you can view or check it online. This order will be
sent in on Jan. 25. I'm
trying to order a few surprise things for the open house. I hope you will
join us. I would like to thank all of my loyal customers who have supported the store through the past seven and a half years. I wouldn't be here without you. Please try to show your support of the store each month with a purchase of $20 (or whatever you can afford). I know times are tough, but I need your help in order to stay open. I
have enjoyed the times we have spent together crafting, visiting, forming
friendships, and laughing. I know we all get busy with everyday life and
you don't come by as often as you may want to. Please don't forget to stop
