I just wanted to remind you of our final Open House of 2013 on Saturday, November 16 from 10-4. There will be 8 stations for $16. Cash is preferred and please pay upon entry.
We will be making ornaments, projects for gift giving, and cards.
Be sure to bring your basic tool kit (or at least large and small scissors, wet and dry adhesives).
Kathy Andersen will be here with her Tastefully Simple food products.
Jessica and I have a bunch of cash and carry Thirty-One products. We will all be taking orders for items that we don't have here. There is a great special on through Nov. 26. Ask us for the details.
I hope you will come and join the fun.
.. ........... ......... ....................... .................
Well, we're coming down the home stretch of 2013! I really couldn't tell you where the year has gone! At least we gain an hour this weekend! Of course, the problem is I need an additional 48 hours or more to do the things I need to finish!
Both calendars are attached to this newsletter so you can plan your busy days ahead. In December, we usually leave the schedule wide open so you can take some of the classes you missed during the year. We have a few new classes. Don't hesitate to call and schedule a class with the various instructors. Some of them work other jobs so they may have to do evening classes.
I am going to have to start enforcing the registration for classes because we are preparing a lot of class materials and people are backing out of classes at the last minute. This is not fair to the instructors. It has always been the store policy that you should prepay at least 48 hours in advance of most classes. I have been at fault for not following through. Please help me out with this by checking the calendar, deciding what classes you want to take, and prepay in person or by phone. I think most of you realize how much preparation it takes for all of our classes and the open house events. If you have to miss a class you sign up for, you will get a kit. We will no longer make extra kits for walk-ins.
Classes that require more preparation of materials will need to be paid farther in advance. These dates will be posted to the monthly calendars with the classes.
If you have any questions, please feel free to talk to me about it.
The Monthly G45 cards are coming to an end. You will end up with three nice sets of cards to give as a gift or use yourself. I hope you have enjoyed making these cards as much as I have. Jessica has worked very hard to make this class happen each month. The preparation was extremely intense. I certainly appreciate her efforts.
On December 9, we are planning to make a gift box to hold the cards you made. We will provide you with more details when you attend the November card class. We want your input on the kind of box you are interested in making. Right now we are still tossing around some possibilities and inquiring about the interest level.
In November, Jessica will complete the G45 layouts for November and December.
Be sure to check the dates on the calendar for these classes since they were changed from the tentative dates. Also be sure to tell us asap if you missed any months so we can plan a make-up class. That way you'll have full sets.
In addition to the G45 classes, Jessica has a few other classes scheduled for the next two months. She has a G45 Calendar book and she can also do the regular G45 flip calendar if anyone is interested. These make terrific gifts. Both of these are on the display shelf in the hall.
Since it is gift giving season, she will be teaching three gift card holders and a 6x6 Christmas album. Wouldn't it be nice to have your book already made for Christmas so you could just put your pictures in it and be done?
Alison has three great classes scheduled. She has some new Christmas cards made with peel off stickers as well as the wardrobe card. These are always wonderful because you can make several in a reasonably short amount of time and they look so good! By request, she will be making stitched cards which can be adapted to any occasion. Her final project will be Santa's drawers which can hold small gifts or candy. Samples for these classes are also on display in the hall.
Shanon has come up with some new exciting ideas for Christmas themed classes. First, she will make two different luminaria cards. Then, she will teach two classes using tags: one is the 12 days of Christmas tags and the other is a tag calendar.
I have put a few classes on for November. However, if you want a class that I teach in December, just let me know.
I love the little snow book. It is fairly quick to make and can be adapted to other themes. In the Christmas Card Rotation, you will make five different styles of Christmas cards. In the multi-purpose card class, we will make three new cards that can be used for any occasion. If you haven't taken Stamping 101 yet and are just starting to stamp, call and schedule a time that is convenient for you.
Please note that our crop has been shortened so we can make our final preparations for our final open house of the year.
Our final open house will be an Ornament Open House on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10-4. Since some of you weren't interested in ornaments, we have adapted it so it could be cards and projects as well as using some ornaments. I think you will really like making the things we have chosen to make. There will be 8 stations plus a few vendors. The cost is $16 (just $2 per station). Don't forget to bring your basic tool kit (or at least scissors and adhesives, wet and dry).
Kathy Andersen will have the Tastefully Simple products. She will take orders and have limited cash and carry. These things are great to have on hand for unexpected holiday visitors. They're very tasty and are quick to prepare. They're also great gifts for those who like to cook and those who like to eat!
Jessica and I will have our Thirty One products for you to see. I always like to see the real size of the different bags. It's hard to tell in the catalog. We will be taking orders and have some cash and carry. Wait until you see the November Specials! What a deal and a great gift for anyone at Christmas or anytime. Products can be ordered through December 10th and will be here before Christmas! Just think you won't have to fight the crowds.
The two new lines of G45 have been ordered and will start shipping to stores in mid-November. They are gorgeous! The colors are outstanding. I can't wait to see the projects they design.
Don't forget to tell family and friends they can purchase gift certificates here for Christmas, birthdays, etc. They can be purchased in any amount.
Things have been kind of slow since the government shutdown so, if you haven't been by lately, I would appreciate any support you can give. I know this is a bad time of year with everything going on.
Finally, please note that I have decided to take a couple of days off before Christmas. So be sure to get whatever you need by December 21.
Well, I think I covered everything. I really hope you can join us for our open house.
