I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying our mild temperatures. My trees have just started turning colors. Today was a bit messy but that's okay.
Well, that busy season is fast approaching. Only 3 weeks to Thanksgiving and about a month and a half to Christmas. Panic mode should be kicking in at any time now!
I have completed both the November and December calendars so you can plan your schedule. I'm sure you have been making lots of plans already. These calendars are at the end of the newsletter.
I have several orders on the way.
I placed a large order of red tape in 1/8 and 1/4 inches. I ordered the large rolls (36 yds) as well as rolls of 5 and 10 yds. The old company was no longer selling the red tape, so the new company's prices are a little higher on some and lower on others. Hopefully, the retail prices will be close to what they were. I also ordered some rolls of white foam dots and foam tape. I love the tape and used it regularly. I thought it was discontinued because my supplier stopped ordering it. You may want to try some. I like it because you can cut the piece into the size you want. I'm hoping it arrives by the end of the week because I'm running out!!!
I just ordered from Cheery Lynn and Impression Obsession at the end of last week and both of those shipments should be here by the end of the week. There are all kinds of dies and a few tools.
Last, but not least, I placed another order for Memory Box and Poppy Stamps. Those should be in around the middle of November. Stop by to see some of the sample cards we have made with these dies. Some of them are very versatile.
My next order will be to Notions so, if you need anything, let me know in the next couple of days.
We have a bunch of wonderful classes on the schedule for the next two months. I hope you will be able to join us for some. Please prepay by the deadline date since we no longer cut extra kits.
We are making a really neat gift box that could be used for any reason. It has no adhesive! I already have 5 people signed up! We will offer this in two sessions: one on a Saturday and one on a week day. When you prepay for this class, I will provide you with a supply list and you will need to choose your papers so you can prepare them for the class. Stop by and check out this Paper Octagon Box.
Debi will be teaching a winter Explosion Box Card in December. This could be a Christmas card or a winter card. Once you see how it's done, the possibilities are endless!
Lenora outdid herself with the monthly house card for October! It was very well designed and all who saw it wanted to make it. Unfortunately, they didn't sign up for the class and missed out. She will be making a fall for Thanksgiving card and a Christmas house. She is currently working on those. Keep your eye out for her samples. I can't wait to see them.
Lenora will be repeating her Thomas Kinkade class. You will learn three techniques on these cards. These stamps make absolutely gorgeous cards! For those attending the class, you will receive a discount on any of the TK stamps in stock. As far as I know, they have been discontinued when the company making them went out of business. These can be made very simply or more involved, depending on what you want to do.
Finally, Lenora will be making a Round Christmas Book. Instead of putting a price on this class, I decided to let you pick the items you want to use in your book. That will determine the price. You could actually share some of the items with a friend to cut the cost. Some packages have an abundance of items.
There will be a $10 instructor fee beyond the supplies you choose.
Amanda is coming down the home stretch with the G45 cards for November and December. All of the cards we've made have been so pretty. I always love their colors and designs.
Debbie from Paper Sweeties will be teaching a Fall and a Holiday Class on Nov. 20. There will be two afternoon and two evening classes for each topic. If you are interested in taking one or both classes, be sure to prepay nlt Nov. 5 so she can prepare her kits. See the calendar for more details. She will be bringing some of her stamps and dies. They will be the ones used in the classes and her newer releases. If you want anything particular, let me know by the 5th so she can have them ready and bring them to the store. You can save some money on shipping. We had a wonderful time when Debbie came for the trunk show in August.
I will be teaching a Scarecrow/Fall Card using the Paper Sweeties die and stamps, 5 Quick Christmas Cards and Stamping 101 in November. For December, I will be making The Four Seasons Cards. This would make a great gift set.
Since we are doing the Paper Sweeties classes on our normal crop night, I decided to make a crop on the Saturday after Thanksgiving for those who don't want to shop and want to avoid the crowds. You must prepay so I know how many tables to set up. You can buy extra card kits I have in the store and do it like a self-serve open house. Or you can work on any projects you have. Lunch will be included in the price of the crop as well as two card kits. Prices of the kits will vary.
The December crop is on its normal night.
We will be closing early on two Saturdays in December so I can join friends in some holiday festivities. Please note the dates and times on the calendar.
The store will be closed for Thanksgiving as well as Dec. 24-27.
Don't forget to encourage friends and family to give you gift certificates from Loving Hands Creations for the holidays, birthdays, or any gift giving occasion. If they can't get by the store, have them call it in and I'll send it to them.
I appreciate all of the support you continue to give me through the 11 1/2 years I've been in business. I've enjoyed all of the classes and activities we've shared over the years. I've made many friends from far and near.
I would like to wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope 2016 will be very healthy and prosperous for all of us.
Stop by to visit or shop when you have a chance.
