                                                                                     SEPTEMBER 2014

                                                   Happy Labor Day!

It seems like the summer just got started and

here we are coming to a quick end. Fall is just around the corner.

We are trying to plan out the rest of the year's activities so you can mark your calendars.

Well, we have scheduled our Christmas Open House for Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10-4. We will have 8 stations of projects. I have been working on orders to get some new products to demonstrate for you. So get your basic tool kits ready. Remember, you will need wet and dry adhesives as well as a pair of sharp scissors. Feel free to bring any tools that you like to use. You can see our suggested basic tool kit on our website.

More details will be forthcoming as we get closer to the open house. I hope you will be able to join us. If you can't make the open house, you can always prepay and we would be glad to save you a kit of all the stations.

It seems that we have been having a lot of new faces dropping in. It's always nice to meet new friends. Of course, we also treasure our oldies but goodies as well. The mix keeps things hopping around here.

We have scheduled a bunch of classes this month that will hopefully appeal to both old and new customers. Don't forget to sign up by the prepay date on the class.

I think you are really going to enjoy the classes Lenora has scheduled this month. If you have not tried the cloisonne technique or the bleach technique, I think you will really enjoy them. They are fairly easy but are very interesting when used on cards.

Amanda will be teaching a paper piercing class and quilt cards. Paper piercing is a cool technique which can result in some very elegant cards. If you like to quilt, you could carry it over to your papercrafting. If you don't like to quilt, you can achieve the same look in an easier way. Try these; you might like them!

Jessica continues to teach the monthly Graphic 45 books. The September book will be using the new Halloween paper. She will also be teaching the Halloween Book with a shadow box on one side. You will be constructing the whole book from square one. This class will be taught in two parts.

I will be teaching several classes this month. If you are new to stamping or scrapbooking, you may want to take Stamping 101. This has been extended to a 3 hour class since there is so much information to impart and hands on participation as well. I don't mind doing this class for 1 person so just let me know when you would like to take it. I can do it from 9-12 or 6-9 pm.

I will be teaching a napkin card. This card is easily adapted to any occasion.

Once you make it, you'll want to make a bunch. Fairly easy, but impressive.

I will probably make this as a Christmas card. If you want to make a different topic, let me know when you prepay so we can pick the papers.

My other two classes this month are Halloween cards and men's cards. I know some of you don't do Halloween. These will be more fun cards rather than scary. Everyone can use men's cards. They seem to be harder to come up with than cards for women. I am trying to vary the techniques and the topics.

The three new lines of G45 are on their way. They should be here in the next week or so. I have also reordered the main pages of the beach paper, the vintage sport, and the 12 days of Christmas since many of you have been making the canvases with these layered up for gifts. If you haven't seen all the samples of these, stop by. We have a few new additions to the samples and they are terrific!

If you haven't heard of the Tattered Lace dies, you should stop in to see what is available. We have several pieces still in stock. They also publish a wonderful magazine with tons of ideas and a die. We have a few samples of cards that customers have made.

Scor-tape and red tape have been restocked. We have a few rolls of black foam dots. If you are interested in white dots, I will take prepay and order them. A roll is $36 but lasts a long time and is more cost efficient than buying smaller packages.

I will send out additional emails as new merchandise arrives. If you need anything that you can't find, be sure to let me know so I can include it in my order to my distributor. I have some new Spellbinders on order from them. Some are being released now and others will be coming out in October.

From now until the end of the year, I will send a coupon for a sale once a month on a random day. Be sure to watch your email so you don't miss it. It will be a one day special. You must bring the coupon with you in order to get the discount. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Here's the one for September:

25% off all printed papers (12x12 and 8 1/2 x 11)

Excludes all plain cardstock and newer lines of Graphic 45. Coupon good for September 1 and 2, 2014 ONLY.

Well, I guess I'll sign off for now. I hope to see you for a visit or some shopping soon.

Take care. Calendar follows.
